My money is not on us

Wow, human kind is really going to shit, another University shotting 5 killed, 7 killed in street race, and car bomb killing 37 in Pakistan.  Maybe I should stop reading and watching the news, It really sucks out my energy.  Its also gives me another reason to stay in bed, and its not even close to being the good reason to stay in bed.

My winter team lost their first game this week.  I played way too much for the shape I'm in.  My heart was hurting after the game, probably should see the doctor if it still hurts on Monday.

Hamy will be here in a week for Thya's B-day, oh and Allen.  I still haven't bought a gift for the little one.  I need to get her something Phamtastic, but I'll probably just get her a stuffed animal or the humidifier I stole from them.

Year of The Rat

Happy Chinese New Year!  The year of the rat is upon us, and I think I need to stay low on the radar this year.

It has been cloudy with rain and snow for the pass week, not particularly cold except for the wet shoes.  It's kind of nice not seeing the sun, though it makes it difficult to get up in the morning.

I got my bonus earlier this week, its a really nice bonus, more then I expected.  Now if I can only finish my time sheet and get my check.

I started my Winter Ultimate League.  I am severely out of shape, yet in better shape then most of my team.  We play indoors on turf.  The turf is not very forgiving, and I ripped up my knee pretty badly.

I picked up The Kite Runner, after putting it down for a couple of weeks.  It's pretty good and goes by faster then you think and also makes the commute to and from work better.

The morning was very dark and quiet, chilly but not cold, as I walked to work.  I had a tough time getting out of bed, since I was barely able to sleep, but only 15 mins late to work.  I have been think too much lately, but nothing coherent.  Maybe writing will help to straighten it all out.

Look I'm actually reading a bbb bbb bbbooook.

Work has become more intense now, I have been added to a couple new projects.  I should be overwhelmed, but I'm just upset at the all my vendors incapability of keeping up and doing things right.  Oh and my annual review is Friday, not sure what to expect.

To Serve and Protect!  That is the police officers' model, to serve and protect.  Well they forgot to add running over Asian people at night.

As I was walking home from work I noticed a police car down the street with its lights off.  Granted its only about 5:10pm, but its winter and dark out.  Thinking nothing of it I cross a small street.  The police car slows down as it approaches me.  In my head I'm thinking did I do something, what does this Ass-munch want?  The police car starts to turn down the street that I have only crossed halfway.  I walk a little faster and then hop out of the police car's way.  It stops abruptly and the cop inside is shaking his head.  He rolls down his window and tells me that he didn't see me and that he is sorry.  I am stunned that I almost got hit, I put my arms up as to be like what the fuck!   He ask if  I am ok.  I bit my tongue and mutter I'm ok.  Then he drives off.  I was moments away from bitching this cop out, but I didn't want to stand in the rain and get arrested for assaulting an officer.

WTF!!!  I almost got hit by a cop car.  It was raining and dark out, and he didn't have his lights on?  There was no signaling to give me an indication of him turning down the street.  What if I slipped on the wet leaves that littered this small street?!?!? Well I probably would only have a few bruise and some torn wet clothes from the pavement.  I'm lucky it was a small street and he wasn't driving fast.  These are the people that are suppose to serve and protect us.  If you can't see me crossing the street, how are you gonna see someone breaking into a house.  I would expect this on mission hill, but in Brookline?!

I usually never post unless something out right disguise and angers me.
